MEP 2014 Plus Seems To Delay The Sound Track

Hello:

I received my copy of MEP 2014 Plus and immediately installed it. Despite some problems with previous versions not being uninstalled first, I finally got it to "work", or so I thought.

I was in the process of "fixing" copies of "24" that I had recorded (removing adverts, etc. so I continued with the new software. However, when I watched them (all of them suffered from the same problem) the sound track gradually lagged behind the video track such that after about 40 minutes of video, the sound was about 1/2 - 1 second behind - enough that I could not watch any more of them

I uninstalled 2014 and re-installed MEP MX Pro 18, and checked the original recordings of each that they were fine. I have now re-edited all of them with my older version and all seem find!

I can't believe there is a setting that I don't know about that would do this so I thought I would see if anyone here has noticed the same thing!

I would be very interested to hear your comments.

TIA,

Sparky

Hi

. . . . I uninstalled 2014 and re-installed MEP MX Pro 18, . . . .

There is no need to do this multiple versions will run along side each other with no problem.

. . . . the sound track gradually lagged behind the video track such that after about 40 minutes of video, the sound was about 1/2 - 1 second behind . . . .

This is a common problem - I am guessing this is NTSC video - normally right clicking the clip(s) and selecting Create frametable new will fix this.

Check that the framerate setting of the project is the same as the source video - I would suspect one is 29.97 fps and the other 30 fps.

Check in the program settings -  I would suspect that in MX you have the Create frametable on import set but not in 2014.
