MEP: Reset video effects fails on multiple objects

terrypin wrote on 8/12/2015, 11:18 AM

Normally if multiple ojects (two in this example) are selected, I thought that any effects applied to them could be removed simultaneously with Right-click > Video Effects > Reset video effects (or its hotkey).
But this doesn't work if the effects are any of those in Art Filter.

The reset does work if applied to any single object in the set, but not to all of them together.

Bug, deliberate design, or my misundertsnding?

Hi Terry

Reset works OK with me - tried various Art Filter effects on multiple clips and all reset in one step.

I do note that your image shows only one object is selected!

Thanks John. Screenshot happened to be taken when I had only one object selected, but actual issue occurs with several.

Was your test with 2014 (like mine) or 2015?

Was your reset via right click or using the hotkey?

Hi Terry

I tested with MEP 2014 and used both the right click and keyboard shortcuts and multiple ( 1 - 3 ) random art filter effects on each clip.

MEP 2014 is version 13.0.5.4 - no further updates available according to it.

Also tested with MEP 2015 v 14.0.0.183 and also works OK.

John, Walter,

Thanks both, appreciate your taking the time to test this.

Looks like some sort of obscure project corruption. I tested in a fresh project with the new images and it was OK. Re-opened original project (admittedly a fairly complex one with several busy 'work area' movies) and the problem occurred again.

Just one of those glitches! Irgendeine Macke eben.
