Hi,
I ran into a problem with MEP2015 Premium 14.0.0.162 as well as VPX6 13.0.5.9, but not MEP2014 Plus.
I had a corrupt mp4 file in a folder. With MEP2015 and VPX6, whenever I would go to the folder and click on large icons, the program would die. I narrowed it down to a file, copied it to another folder and that was the cause of my problems. Windows Media Player would not play it either, which is how I narrowed down the problem.
However, MEP2014 did not have the same problem. It would try to create an icon, couldn't, so just ignored the file. I double-clicked on the offending file and MEP2014 tried to run it - the playback marker actually moved along the timeline. This is the way it should work.
Conclusion, the 64bit programs have a problem with not ignoring a corrupt file and shutting down without the user having any idea as to what was the cause.
Has anyone else found this?
I think that some users may have run into this and the problem was not solved.
I will wait a day and then report this to Magix.
