Since upgrading to MEP2021 I have noticed that it is now inserting random frames in my clips. These are clips i was editing before the upgrade, and I also noticed this happen on a new project as well.
In the image below you can see the random frame from earlier in the clip:
Running Win10, MEP version 20.0.1.65
anyone else seeing this ? any solution ?

Hi Andy.
Similar but mainly from screen capture devices, not cameras as much, so far. Some mobile phone footage can also throw up problems.
Look through some of the recent threads. It won't take long to find people with similar problems.
Most of the problems seem to come from files that have uncommon codec data. Variable frame rate being the main culprit but there may be other factors involved.
To have a clearer idea of your problem we would need either a copy of the offending file to examine or the data from the file supplied by using the MediaInfo tool. Look at some other threads to get an idea.

Interesting development:
I did a little editing later in the timeline, and when I came back to this clip, the random frame was still showing on the timeline (so it was still in the thumbnail proxy file/whatever) but they are gone when I slide the scrubber and when I export!
@CubeAce - thanks for your reply, however I have been editing this project for a couple of months in MEP2019 and never had this issue. Only came up with the upgrade.

Yes that is correct. These problems were not happening in the last version of MEP. Or at least we were not seeing any complaints here.
I think people are going to have email MAGIX in mass to tell them what they are experiencing and hope MAGIX comes out with a patch.
