Hi i am using MMM17 Premium, Can i not export a whole arrangement of midi objects? seems i can only export 1 Midi object at a time? Even if i group the objects. This question is not about audio waveform objects by the way, thats easy to do.
I'm sorry to say, but that is one of the limitations of the MMM software. MMM is not a full DAW.
MIDI files come in two types - Type 0 and Type 1. MMM can only deal with, and create, Type 0.
Type 1 - A MIDI file that can contain multiple, separate sequences. You need a full DAW to work in this format.
Type 0 - A MIDI file that can contain multiple voices in a single MIDI file. This is the type used in MMM.
So, in MMM, you are working with type 0. The only way to have a MIDI file with multiple voices and melody/rhythm lines is to use the overdub feature in the Vita MIDI Editor.
I previously wrote a tutorial on how to seperate the individual voice sequences into individual tracks from a Type 0 MIDI file. You can take apart a Type 0 file in MMM, but you can not create a Type 1 file from it.

Oh,ok thanks for that. That is a shame.I also use Computer Magazine's CM Studio,it is a great DAW for midi edit, import and export. One of the limitations on their DAW is that you can only use 5 or 6 vst instruments in a composition.I read a question on hear the other day, someone was complaining that mmm midi edit was irritating him because of greyed out notes to the left or right that he could not edit,I also find this if you chop up an object you are left with uneditable remnants and allsorts of complications. As i said earlier CM Studio is great for midi,in an ideal world I would love to see MMM and CM Studio programmers team together to make the perfect DAW,What do you think? Have you thought these kinda things?
Anyway thanks for helping.I still love My MMM 17 Pro :)
