Missing Main Menu

Anthony-Leogrande wrote on 11/7/2018, 1:10 PM

Hello -

I haven't used the Movie Editor pro for a few months and when I get in to edit a movie I do not get the main menu. I have no SAVE, EXPORT or other items in the main menu. I have included a screen shot link..

After finding the error I made sure I am running the latest Windows 10 and I just reinstalled the Video Editor software.

Still no main menu. I want it to all be in one box like it used to be, with the main menu and workspace all in one window - now I have 3 separate windows and no main menu.

Please help ASAP!

I saw it and replied. I am downloading the latest program again now and will reinstall again. I think I am just missing a shortcut key to get the original layout back. Is their a config file or something I can edit to get it back to original?

Maybe I am not doing F9 correctly. I start the program. and press F9 with each of the windows. I started it holding F9 down; I pressed F9 with the splash screen. Any other way I should try it?

@Anthony-Leogrande

Are you using a laptop or a desktop? If a laptop, the F9 key needs to be activated first by pressing on the Fn key.

Once the program is loaded, click anywhere on the timeline, press the F9 key, once.

I did that. Function F9, and for kicks I also tried all other combo keys with F9... and I just uninstalled and then re-installed for the 2nd time the Magic Video Editor Pro program. Registered it again - and still same problem! CRAZY! I am screwed if I can't figure this out!

Just for kicks, try running it in compatibility mode windows 7 or 8, and see what happens.

Good idea. Tried that in 7 and 8... to no avail. Is there any other way for me to at least export my project to a .mov of mp4 file?

Just a thought, but can you have enabled the tablet mode on your PC. You can check by clicking in the lower-right-corner where you get messages and informations. You will get panel of tiles where you can turn them on/off by clicking them. Tiles for WiFi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, Brightness, etc.
You may need to click the "Expand" just above to see all tiles.
