Missing sound on video-clips.

Hi there!

After putting together a fair amount of video, Pictures, titles and Music, a good part of the videos are suddenly lacking sound. They are not muted, and has had sound earlier. They are set to have video and audio on the same track. If I set them to separate tracks, the sound is there, but sound and video are not synched on the timeline, and i can't seem to be able to move just the sound to be in sync with the video.

So: How can I get the sound back to the videos?

Or: How can I move the sound-track for the video separately?

Hi

Try restarting the computer - Windows button, Power, Restart - not shutdown.

If this does not work we need more information:

  1. Computer specification - processor make/model, graphics card or chipset, RAM,  hard drive configuration, sizes and free space?

  2. Windows version and is it up to date?  Press and hold down the Windows key and the R key - in the dialog that opens type in winver and press enter.

  3. Software full name and version number - as found under Help, About . . .

  4. The results of a MediaInfo analysis of one of the source files causing the problem - copy and paste the results from the Text view in MediaInfo.

Also please read this post before replying and add any other information you think may be relevant.

Thanks. I tried to restart, to no avail. I will get you the specifications shortly.

Is there any way, in Time-line mode, to move an object on one of the lower tracks, without affectin what is on track 1?

Hi,

That's a new question and should really be raised in a separate post. And including the information John requested. But I'm guessing this may be the reason for your new problem:

And, of course, make sure you are in 'Mouse mode for single objects', by clicking the arrow icon next to the Ungroup tool. (Possibly dependent on MEP version.)

That's pretty basic stuff, so I'd suggest you read the introductory sections of the manual for whatever MEP version you're using and also view John CB's tutorials in the Tutorial section of this site.
