Mobile Sync?

What is Mobile Sync? It's enabled by default here. I could not find any reference to it in Help or the PDF manual.

I'm guessing it refers to syncing with a portable device, such as a smartphone but if so sync what, and when and how? And an iPad?

Hi Terry

If I am not mistaken this is for syncing projects with Movie Edit Touch on an Android tablet.

See here right hand column.

Thanks John. So far I've been unable to load that link but will keep trying.

Edit: The page has now loaded OK but can you pinpoint the reference to Mobile Sync please?

Edit 2: You're right. Just had this from Ralf:

Sorry this isn't very clear for the Movie Edit Pro user, but this option is
for the data exchange with the "Movie Edit Touch" app run on an Android
tablet.

So it's redundant for users like me wiith no such device or app. And puzzling why it's ON as default. I've suggested some (findable) mention of it in Help and PDF.

Hi Terry

From this

   and this

The connection (!) I made that one is for the other - have not found a reference yet to actually using Mobile sync - however with the two programs being offered together it would be a reasonably safe bet that the purpose of the option is to sync the project on one the mobile device to MEP on the PC
