It seems there is no built-in motion blur or radial blur in Movie Edit Pro Premium? (Running latest version) Is there a plugin available that can do those effects? Or am I simply looking in the wrong place? :)
You appear to be correct. I'm not sure how easy radial blur would be to achieve but motion blur should be doable using several layers of the same clip on different tracks with slight time variations on frame positioning and blending.I'll admit I've never tried but seems like it could be done. Alternatively there may be a plug-in somewhere that does this.
If I've missed a plug-in that MEP possesses I'm sure someone else will chip in and correct me.
Another plugin that came with earlier versions of MEP / VPX might give you what you want is Prodad Vitascene which can do blur transitions. The effects used in Vitascene are usually fully customisable and key frameable so should be able to be applied on the whole clip.
Looking at the video for Pixelan Blurblender Pro I think it is expensive for the one effect but for the package looks quite useful. I think it wouldn't be long before you found a use for the other effects. I'm quite taken myself as they are things I think I would use for titling at least.
I have the complete Pixelan package. I have rarely used BlurBender Pro, but Ray is right, it can be used for a lot. Most everything can be keyframed, you have a wealth of templates to start with, and everything can be modified as you can see in the detailed tools screen.
I suggest that you download, install it and try it out. It will put an X across the screen, but you can see everything that it does.

Thanks for the tip! I've downloaded the demo and it looks really good, though I was somewhat confused by the fact that you can't use Magix native keyframing system? Instead it seems you have to do all keyframing inside the plugin and then render the effect, feels somewhat clunky but it works. There's a ton of awesome blur fx in there!
