Did you apply the patch?

I know they made a patch for the DVD encoding for burning, and that fixed the issue. I haven't had a sync issue since.

Hi Peter3

Did you "Reset program defaults" after applying the patch? It is always recommended.

Peter too.

1. Go to the "Help" menu at the top and select the bottom selection the "About Movie Edit Pro...." choice and check it says version 10.0.11.0.

2. If so go to the "File" Menu, click "Settings" > "Reset program settings to default". The program should restart with the default settings.

If the version number is different to 1.) find the patch download  "patch_video_dlx_17_plus_10.0.11.0_int.exe" and double click it to run it. Recheck it has updated the program as in 1) and carry out Reset as in 2).

Hi

Right click each of the video clips and select  Create (new) frametable ,

If this fails to fix the sync problem, close MEP, locate the folder where the video clips are - back this folder up to somewhere else - so you can copy the files back if needed.

You will find some files with the same name as the clips but the file extension ends in .HDP and possibly  .H0 - delete them - they will be recreated when you load the project into MEP again.

Start MEP and reload the project.

Hi Peter3

After recreating the frame table you say the audio was all static - do you mean you lost the audio and all you could hear is 'noise'?  This of course should not happen, which leads me to suspect there is a different problem.

What is the source of the video clips?

Can you analyze one with GSpot or MediaInfo to find out what codecs are required.

So I just purchased Pro X3 and hope my $400.00 I spent wasn't a waste of money.

You should always see how the trial version works on your system before purchasing. $400 is a lot of money to spend just to test out the software.

There were many complaints about NTSC sound sync issues when MEP 17 was released. I sat and waited, happily editing with MEP 16 plus.

After a patch came out to address the issue, I downloaded the trial version and it worked just fine on my system, I I purchased a copy at Amazon for less than $60.00.  I have been happily editing on MEP 17 PLUS since March without any problems.

I have a regular version Magix Movie Edit pro 17plus. I am unable to download the patch,Please help.

@preethasankarankutty

Movie Edit Pro 17 is an old version and is no longer supported - there are no further patches for and if you are using Windows 10 then it is not compatible to the point where it will no longer work or has issues.
