Movie Edit Pro 2014 Premium - "DVDmaker.dll has detected a conflict version"

spiralsofdanu wrote on 3/10/2015, 5:03 AM

Hello

I have recently installed Movie Edit Pro 2014 Premium. I have created a movie that I want to burn to DVD but when I do I get the error message:

"DVDmaker.dll has detected a version conflict"

I am using Windows 7, and have not had any previous versions of Movie Edit on my machine.

Any advice?

Hi

try updating your Burn Routines - they are available here under Miscellaneous Downloads.

The latest version is Brennroutinen 12.0.0.240  on the first page.

Thanks John,

I am using Chrome, and that links comes up as a malware site - there is a problem with the certificate.

Please advise.

Hi

The full message is:

This server could not prove that it is support2.magix.net; its security certificate is from *.magix.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

In this instance because you are using  using a secure ie https:// address the certificate is checked by the browser, and is a result of multiple domains, ie the .com and  .net, being hosted on the same server(s)  for which the trust certificate has not been updated yet to include the .net domain.

The warning is of the  'may be'  type and in this case can be safely ignored because the named server that you are going to is valid ie it is is coming from magix.com which you may have already visited.
