Movie Edit Pro 2016 Crashes Non Stop

I've recently ran into the issue of my Movie Edit Pro 2016 crashing to the point of being un-usable. I will get the program running and with the slightest work being done such as importing a video to the project, the whole program will freeze and I'll have to use task manager to shut down the program. Just playing an existing project three or four times will cause the whole program to freeze up. I've tried re-installing the program but the issue does not go away. Any help is much appreciated!

I'm reletively new to movie edit pro and have the latest edition running but I too had the same problem a couple of months back. Basically I had inadvertantly imported an unsupported file format. In my instance it was an unsupported still image raw format file rather than the jpeg I thought I was importing, and the program would crash each time it reached that point in the project. It took a while to figure out what was going on and even longer for me to remedy by removing that file from the project and resaving it under a new name.

This may not be your problem but I would suggest starting a new project and saving and re-opening it to see if it causes crashes. If it doesn't crash the program then there is the possibility you did something in the other project to cause the crash. If this isn't the problem then I hope someone else here can help you.
