Movie Edit Pro MX Plus doesnt close properly in Windows 10

Are we talking about 2011/12 software?.

Other than making sure you have the latest Movie Edit Pro MX Plus updates, latest audio drivers and Video card drivers and fully patch your Windows 10, all I can really suggest is that upgrade to the most recent version of Movie edit Pro Plus (2021)? (This is assuming your PC meets minimum requirements)

Hi, sorry if i'm not much help but i had this for a while last yr, when i started my PC Magix would load automatically, sometimes trying to load more than once, It did go away & hasn't happened again but not sure why, i didn't do anything special apart from clean my PC, check for windows updates in settings, in device manager check for Display adaptor drivers updates,

It could be temp or ghost files that are still trying to do their job, don't know what they call them,

Try Settings - System

Storage

click on Temporary files under Windows (C:)

There you'll be able to delete some junk that might be cluttering up your system.

the boxes clicked/ticked in this pic were done by Windows so that's what i go with,

if you delete thumbnails, when you open a folder with pictures your PC may seem slow because it will take a moment to recreate those thumbnails, once it has again it'll open the folder easier next time. I've a lot of pictures & this thumbnail folder isn't very big so you may want to skip that box.

This is what i do to clear space but i'm no expert so don't know if it will help,

I am running - MAGIX Movie Edit Pro MX Plus Download Version
Version 11.0.1.4 within Windows10

The program will not shut down properly and I need to close it in Task Manager every time?

Is there a fix to this issue?

You could try making it run in Windows Compatibility Mode.

Hi.

The only links I can find are for versions before 2018.

The only version of Plus MX I can find is 2016.

Programs not designed to work with a specific operating system can often almost work or work with defects. Forcing a shutdown of the program could mean projects not saving properly.

I'd never seen it before but apparently quite popular in the States.

If there is a newer version of it I can't find it.

Doesn't seem to be a current offering.

If you mean how to find out which version of Windows 10 then press and hold down the Windows key and tap the R key - in the dialog that opens type in winver and press enter.
