MOVIE EDIT PRO PLUS license & system questions

alina22 wrote on 7/20/2013, 11:07 PM

I am planning on buying this software in the PRO or PLUS version. Before I download the trail version, I need to know the following:

I have several computers on which want to use the software.

Does my purchase of the physical product permit this? If so, how many?

Also, my computers have a intel core i7CPU, 9GB of Ram, and a speed of 3.07GHZ. Do I need a particular video card in addition to the video devices that came with the computer, an HP PAVILLION ELITE HPE, running windows 7 home premium, service pack 1.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi

The general rule is one computer - one licence (as with many other software programs). licencing details are here

. . . . Do I need a particular video card in addition to the video devices that came with the computer . . .

That depends on which graphics card option is installed, if you are going to be editing / outputting HD video - then you may require a graphics card with CUDA or OpenCL functionality.

Download the trial and test your computer with it.

If you decide to purchase get the Premium version as it has more functionality and licencing fee of most codecs is included.

Hi,

One license = 1 computer use, if you need to install on many computers you need to pay multi license package. With Internet is near impossible to install product on many machine because you need to activate the software the best way is to contact the seller and obtain a special price.
Since your computer is Intel core i7 CPU, 9GB of Ram, and a speed of 3.07GHZ if you work with few video tracks up to 6 that is OK, just check the video card on board if is a Cuda or Open GL technology.
Install the trial version this should run great if you need to work with more track or many effects just upgrade your memory to 16 GIG or 32 GIG.

Hi,

Just a comment on RAM.  Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) can only address 16 GB of RAM while the 32 bit version can only support 4 GB of RAM.  Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate supports up to 192 GB Ram.

ps. The HP Pavillion Elite HPE has a maximum memory capacity of 16 GB regardless of OS.  Also, 9 GB seems like a very odd memory configuration.  The Pavillion has 4 memory slots so I guess you could have 2 times 8 GB and 1 times 1 GB, it just seems a little odd to me.
