When I start playing a movie or part of a movie, a message pops up "Cannot prepare wave-header". And after a while the movie stops. Sometimes the program freezes. What could be causing these problems? My computer has the following components: procesor- AMD Ryzen2 2600x, graphic card- AMD Radeon 5600xt 6GB and memory 16GB, system windows 10.

I noticed no-one else has had a stab at this question yet. It is a bit of an unconventional one and not something we normally see.
This is a specific problem that only normally effects the wav. sound format. It normally indicates a corrupt header on the file which renders the file useless. I am not aware of any fixes for this problem and it doesn't normally happen with video related files, only solitary audio files.
Quite often these files have come from a Mac machine and produced by the Sound Forge program.
If you have no separate audio files in the project of a wav. nature I'm not sure what is causing this. Certainly I've never seen a similar problem brought up on the forum before.
If you have no audio only files in the project we would need to see the data from some of the problematic video files using MediaInfo and copy the Text view to upload to the forum for us to see as in the image below.
