Hi

There is no indication of Master Effects, Brightness/contrast, Colour or Sharpness, have been applied to the movie, this only occurs for effects applied to objects on in the timeline.

And do you think this might be useful to add indication for that?🎨

Hi

When I read your post above I thought that would be a good idea, perhaps an active button to directly go to the Master Effects at the bottom right of the preview monitor, next to the Preview settings button:-

Either way, the 'feature request' option in the Magix Hub appears to have been removed.

Raising a Support ticket will get you into the AI helper loop which can be annoying having to respond several times before the AI gives up and passes the request on to a real person, perhaps an email to infoservice@magix.net with the suggestion, include a link to this topic.

I think other users may chip in on this topic.

I can see the need of something that indicates you have used "Master FX".

+1 (or two)

Hi,

Good one! I almost always forget that the feature exists and most users probably don't know about it.

Do you use any of the Movie Effects Settings? If so, which ones and why?

@johnebaker

Hi John EB,

From what I recall, you use the Movie Effect Settings Sharpness effect in all your videos. Can you please explain why and what setting? Do you use a project template with this effect on to start new projects?

I like the button idea. Off, if nothing is set, On, if something/anything is set.

However, despite what Magix says about continuing development, and past history, I doubt that we can influence them in any way with even simple suggestions. We have had difficulty just getting them to fix obvious bugs.

Hi John

. . . . From what I recall, you use the Movie Effect Settings Sharpness effect in all your videos . . . .

That is correct, the reason is mainly based on experience and observation with creating BD discs, 1920x 1080 m2ts, the image looks better on large 4K TV's with a modest amount of sharpening, in my case I use a value of 30 for Sharpness, this adds enough sharpening without introducing artefacts/halos/colour shifts.

I never add sharpening to individual video/image objects on the timeline.

. . . . Do you use a project template with this effect on to start new projects? . . . .

I do not, though I have changed the keyboard shortcut to H, instead of Ctrl + Shift + H (Export to device ?) for quicker access.
