movie encoding failed

jostval wrote on 11/19/2021, 4:24 AM

When trying to burn to AVCHD on Movie Edit Pro Plus 2022 i get a pop up message saying burning was aborted with the following error:

Error encoding

Movie encoding failed

What is going wrong? I can access the log file but can't save it to send to anyone and don't understand it anyway. I am using Windows 10. Burning to DVD format works but I am using HD clips from a camcorder so want the best quality on disc to view on a TV

@jostval

Hi

The log file is a normal text file, you can open it in Notepad and copy/paste the appropriate section where the error message is.

Was the error message an Error code -5 ?

If so then the most likely causes are a video image or other object on the timeline tripping the encoder, or you graphics card/chipset drivers are not up to date.

There are other potential cause for which we need your computer specification and program version number, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full - I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

Are the graphics card drivers up to date?

A screen shot of the Program settings, Device options tab would also help

Repeat the export and note the movie time in the export dialog when the error occurs, then examine the timeline at that time ± 15 secs .on the timeline.
