Movie Settings for 1920x1080 25p footage

Hi,

Two issues:

1) When I create a new project and drop the first file onto the timeline, it no longer auto adjusts the movie settings. Rather i'm asked to manually enter it when I open Magix.

2) My footage is 1920x1080 25p however I cannot see a movie option for this. The closest is Pal HDTV 1080i 16:9 (1920x1080; 25fps). Is there no Pal FullHD 25p option? Which should I use?

Hi

. . . . Is there no Pal FullHD 25p option? Which should I use? . . . .

As I indicated in my post to your previous topic the PAL system is Interleaved video at 25 fps.

Referring to your image above, select the PAL FullHD 50p option and change the framerate to 25 fps in the arrowed box in the project settings, as shown in the image below, however you cannot save this change as a preset.

If you have the option, shown circled in the image below, set then the next time you create a new project select Custom, at the bottom of the list above, and the correct framerate will already be there.

As John mentioned, you can change the fps to whatever you want. I usually set it to whatever the camera has recorded in.
When you choose a setting from the list, you can then change the 24fps for example to 25 or whatever you want.
Make sure when you mix the edit down. you use the same values or you may get choppy footage in certain shots.
