Movie studio 11 & 16 stalls at "Adding MIDI MME Support"

When starting Movie Studio 16 Platinum stalls at "Adding MIDI MME Support.

PC is 1T SSD, i7 running Windows 11.

Both versions I have (MS 11 and MS Plat 16) do the same thing.

Any ideas?
