I use Movie Studio 16 and 17. When I download them, I also get Music Maker, Sound Forge, and several other programs that I don't think I use. If I am just doing video editing, do I need all that other stuff?

If you do not need the other software, they can be safely uninstalled.
Movie Studio 16 and 17 are Vegas products and the correct forum is here, this is the forum for Magix Movie Studio18 and later versions.
Do be aware that Movie Studio 17 was the last version of the program in the 'format' as you know it. Magix Movie Studio 18, and later versions, is an entirely different program which can import earlier version projects minus effects etc.
