Movie Studio (Video Deluxe) vs Video Pro-X

I already have Movie Studio 2025 suite, but I am considering getting Video Deluxe 2026 ultimate for the ProDad plugins if they are lifetime perpetual licences. But I have now also seen there is Video Pro X.
I only create my videos personal use and upload them to Youtube.
I've read that Video Pro X exports in video formats that are also suitable for TV, but I don't think I need that.
But does Video Pro X have and an advantage for effects, transitions and editing, compared to Movie Studio / Video Deluxe?

Hi

Last year I migrated from MMS 2024 to VPX16 Ultimate
It works more smoothly, has more features and I suggest you give it a try. In my case, I was looking for more control and organization of project clips because it has a "project folder". My videos are more for slow motion, relaxation, so with the speedr plugin combined with VPX's native "full frame" interpolation they turned out really well!

VPX comes with fewer ready-made templates, fewer "automatic" transitions and fewer pre-configured effects.

For example: there are fewer "stylized animation transitions" that you find in abundance in Movie Studio / Video Deluxe.

It does not focus on ready-to-use templates such as intros, animated titles, lower-thirds, etc.

On the other hand, Video Pro X offers "More manual customization" and much more technical control:

Creation of detailed keyframes for customized effects.

Precise manipulation of masks, opacity, position, scale, and color over time.

Blend video layers with blending modes (like in Photoshop or After Effects).

Support for professional plugins like Boris FX, NewBlue, or advanced LUTs.

Detailed audio adjustments with multiband control and VST support.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I have downloaded the trial version of VPX and compared it to MS Studio 2025 and VD 2026 trial and I found it be very similar, but I decided to go for VD 2026 Ultimate instead, because I don't create videos for a profession, just casual use creating my own personal youtube videos without going in to too much precise detail.
With the VD 2026 Ultimate, I got the ProDad plugins VitaScene V5 Pro (which I owned already) and Mercalli V6. As stand alone apps I received Hide V2, ReSpeedr V2, Disguise V2, which I am okay with, less demand on the CPU/GPU.
