When I try to use a movie template, it says I can select a predetermined length of movie by sliding a marker along the timeline. The first time I tried this, it worked. Since then I cannot make the slider move anywhere. I tried it with different templates but still failed to move the slider. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Thanks for your reply. I did fill in a box on the questionaire form stating that I have MEP 2013 Plus. By 'try to use' I mean that I start MEP, then click on one of the movie templates to move it to the timeline in story board mode. I then drag a video from the media pool onto a placeholder and the video also appears in the preview window with a green bar in the mini timeline below it. I ensure that the video is longer than the time indicated by the green bar. I then attempt to grab the green bar to move it to a required place within the video. The problem is that the green bar will not move. It did move when I very first tried to use a movie template but now it will not move no matter which template or video I use. I have tried repeatedly without success, each time starting from loading MEP. When I use the expression 'it says' I am referring to page 185 of the downloaded instruction manual. I do not mean that a message appears on screen. My desktop computer has Windows 7, Intel core i7-2600 processor, clock 3.4Ghz memory 8GB, hard disk 1.5TB, NVida GeForceGTX 560 DirectX11 graphics card with1280MB DDR5 RAM. I hope this is sufficient information to advise me with the problem. Thanks again, Bill.
Hello Terry, I'm sorry I did not reply sooner. I thought I had done but obviously not. Yes, it did solve the problem immediately and I'm grateful for your help again. I'm afraid I've got more questions looming on different subjects and I haven't even looked at 3D yet! (I have a 3d lens with my Canon HDC SD900). Bill
