@Zahid

Please start by telling us which program and version that you're using.

In MEP, movies are tabbed pages and are not on the timeline.

So, what do you mean by editing page? Please use the terminology that is used in the manual.

Thank you John, I'm using Magix movie edit pro 2021 premium. Apologies if I am not using the correct terminology as I am new to Magix. When I say editing page I am referring to the main page. I have several tabs (movies) which are all labelled with individual dates. The tabs are all in order on the main page, however, when I switch to the interface for burning a disc the movies do not appear in the right order. I have tried changing the tab names by using number & letters, however, this makes no difference. I have also used the 'sort film' option, but this also makes no difference. I hope that makes sense.

@Zahid

Hi,

Where you edit is called the Project Window - Timeline.

I made a multi-movie project and gave each movie a number from 1 to 4, then went to the Burn interface and they are all in the order that I created them.

Back in the Project Window, I then tried moving a movie to another position using the Sort command. This does not change anything in the Burn interface. I think that whatever is the order the first time, stays.

However, you can change the order of the movies in the Burn interface. In the image above, go to the edit mode (1), select the movie that you want to move up or down, click on the up or down button (2).

See the result below.

Is this what you are looking for?

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I have 39 movies (work project) which results in 5 menu screens. The movies that are out of chronological order are supposed to be on a previous page so unfortunately I cannot use the edit mode on the burn interface as this does not allow you to move between screens.

I'm surprised and disappointed that whatever is the order the first time, stays. Although potentially time consuming, do you think it's possible to export each movie into a new project so that they are in the correct order on the burn interface?

Yes you can, just do what John said:

On the DVD menu screen, use the up and down arrows on the extreme left, at mid-page. Click on a movie, then use the arrows to move it up and down the navigation list. The movie will jump to another page if necessary.

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.
