I am having problem getting my new edit pro 2021 to receive completed video from my older program edit pro MX
I have used the same folders where all the files are but it seems to be missing some
it says "the video references to the following medai files are inconsistant"

This is a common issue with loading much older projects into a modern version of MEP.
By clicking Continue - you will have to do this for every video clip in the project - the references will be adjusted to the newer project format, after all the clips etc have loaded save the project with a new name. Once saved the project can no longer be used in the old version if you still have it installed.
You may also get error messages saying some effects cannot be found, they either no longer exist, are different to the MX ones, or have been moved, continuing will load the video with out the effects.
Some effects may be looking for a mask or image.
The moved effects and effect components will be in a sub folder of:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Videocontent\Movie Edit Pro Premium
the error message should indicate which folder and the file it is looking for
