mp3 file system missing from recent sound forge pro 12 download

I had to reload sound forge pro 12 on my win. 10 pc, and mp3 file system is missing. I tried uninstalling by using a 3rd party uninstaller, reinstalled, no luck. I tried resetting all preferences and it did not work. Can someone suggest what I can do to get mp3 back?

hi! you can fix this by opening the program and clicking: File > Reset all preferences and cached data. Then close and reopen the program.
