My guess is that this is a confusing "update". Although I'm not sure what you mean by "upgrade print out of the serial number". My guess is that this patch replaces the existing version with the new free version which would not need a serial. You would have access to all the features you had in the 2019 Premium version. But I could be wrong. I'm not doing this upgrade. I have the free version of 2021 with all my 2019 features but still have my 2019 version as well.

@Bob-Robinson

Hi

As @Graham-Hawker has said this is the confusing 'Update' - it is actually and Upgrade from 2019 to 2021, however if you do do the upgrade to 2021 there are some significant changes - the main one being 2019 is a 32 bit program and 2021 is a 64 bit program - if you install this and allow it to replace 2019 (don't allow it) this means:

  1. To use the 32 bit VST's and Instruments from 2019 you will have to purchase the VST-Bridge module.

  2. Some functionality will not be available to you - eg Song Maker from 2019 will not work

  3. The sound pools from 2019 will work.

  4. To get full functionality you will have to purchase the full Upgrade as this is an entirely new version.

The really confusing thing is that on the 2019/2020 start screen it is called a patch.
