@peter1968

Hello ,

I did all the steps you provided. Remove Magix Low Latency driver ? How, as far as I know it does not have a separated install/deïnstall , or?

How do I remove the old audio drivers?

There is a registry entry that points to its dll file.

In Regedit navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > ASIO > Magix Low Latency 2016:

Now, simply right click the Magix Low Latency 2016 folder, and delete it.

Then restart your computer. Please select the Restart option and not the Shut down option.

I hope this helps.

@peter1968 Have you tried to repair Windows with Dism.exe and sfc? Have you tried to install the newest Visual C++ Redistributables from Microsoft?

In the last couple of months the forced Windows 11 updates were simply broken. I'm still on Windows 11 23H2 because of this. No problems here. So, make sure you run Dism first and then sfc and then try to install the newest C++ Redistributables.

Another problem is caused by Microsoft rolling out MIDI 2.0 gradually, which breakes some old MIDI interfaces and freezes Music Maker (see comments above).

Next, old ASIO drivers can cause compatibility issues. For example, if you still have old versions of ASIO4ALL or Magix Low Latency installed, get rid of them. Only use the newest version of ASIO4ALL.

Apart from this, the only thing that can break Music Maker is a bug in the version of the Qt Framework it utilizes, where other programs can slow it down to a crawl, like maybe the sticky password manager you mentioned. Then it only helps to disable these programs (first, try a Restart of the computer, not a Shut down! If this doesn't help, disable these programs in the Autostart or in the Windows Services).

I deleted the Magix Low Latency driver via the reg-editor but the problem remains the same :( Music Maker 2026 Premium starts extremely slow and when fully loaded after about 6 minutes, freezes immediately. )

@peter1968 Did you disable all MIDI 2.0 services? Did you run Dism and sfc?

I did all , except disabling all MIDI 2.0 services, how do I do this?
The strangest thing: I think it has NOTHING to do with Microsoft updates braking things! I noticed just now that after starting MM2026, it hangs at the startup screen en the Store isn't loaded.
The Magix server has a failure! I can use everything without any freeze or delay or staggering in MM2026 Premium!!! The setview stays in the forefront and blocks everything and the Store keeps loading. There is just no connection with Magix's server!!

@peter1968 It's described here, a couple of posts earlier: https://www.magix.info/us/forum/music-maker-2026-frozen-at-setviews-during-startup--1352431/#ca2008691

Yes,
disabled all MIDI 2.0 services. Executed Dism and sfc . Starting MM 2026, setview hangs and store synchronisation keeps 'loading'. I can use MM2026 as far as I know all functions are ok, except that setview window and the failing of the store synchronisation
