spilling a drink on my lap top did not help, so l had to buy a new 1 & am trying to reload my music maker premium - music

software to a new laptop. it will load from the disc but when the software starts it asks to add activation serial which i do, but do it says: An error has occurred during the purchase process? so don't know where to start to fix the problem. any help?
