Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Assuming the Steam edition has the same activation process as the version direct from Magix, you should have received an activation code with your purchase, usually by email. You enter that code into the activation screen.

Then you need to ask Steam, since they are the supplier. In this situation there is nothing that anyone here can do, I think. Even Magix staff, and there are none that regularly post here, cannot really help you with any purchase made via Steam.
