Music Maker update 220.127.116.11 went live a week ago. This was just a smaller update, but I believe the patch notes included in the patch and displayed to the user are incomplete, so here's my own personal recap of the main changes, based on our internal notes:
Changes in patch 18.104.22.168 compared to 22.214.171.124 Bug fix: Option to reset VST plug-in information in program settings works properly now. Bug fix: Solved problems with volume controls in track headers. Bug fix: Information dialog about 8 track limit (e.g. in free version) now properly localized into all languages. Bug fix: Vandal SE can now be opened via the context menu of audio objects ("Audio effects" sub menu). Optimization: GUI improvements and new search function in the "Templates" tab. Optimization: Various GUI improvements in the pitch bar, track headers, mixer windows, and vocoder.
As always, the patch will be deployed via the program's automatic update function, which you can also trigger via the "Upgrade program online" option in the "Help" menu. Please keep in mind that, under the current Music Maker product concept, you'll be able to patch your way up to the current product generation and revision from any version starting in generation 25.x of the software.
If you're still using a slightly older version of the software (generation 18.x to 24.x), please note that you now have an option to benefit from the improvements and core features in the newest generation of Music Maker without paying for an upgrade. There's a basic edition of the most recent Music Maker version that is available to everybody free of charge. You can download and install it from the following address:
This version will then continue to receive updates with improvements and new features, and will essentially always be up-to-date. Within this free version, you can unlock exactly the features, instruments and audio content you want through the built-in store system. As an owner of a previous, paid-for version of Music Maker (going back to Music Maker generation MX/18), you would be able to enter your existing serial number into this free version, which will give you access to the features and instruments that were part of your particular Music Maker version.
