Hi

More information is needed:-

Your computer specification and Windows version and is it 32 or 64 bit?

What version is your MEP 16 - you can find this under Help, About . . .

. . . . Still has last movie created in 2013 . . . .

Do you mean it loads this movie or it is a project name in the Open project dialog?

Have you tried doing a program reset - File, Settings, Reset . . . . to default ?

Note:  MEP 16 is five versions out of date, is no longer supported and no updates are available.

John

Thank you for your response. The version is 9.0.16

32 bit

I last used it in 2013 - with no problem.

Selecting 'default' had no effect.

I "save As' and it shows under new prograns , but after leaving site and re logging it is not there.

Are you saying that they deleted any effort on a product that I paid good money for because they have a new product for sale?

Also, it loads the last movie - from 2013.

The length of support for Magix products as well as many other software manufacturers follow a set timetables.

MEP 16 is five years old, computer operating systems and computers have changed significantly since then.

Maintaining support for old versions is neither practical nor, with the rapidly changing hardware desireable.

IIRC Magix support is limited to the current version plus three previous versions.

Can you explain what you mean by this.

I realize that Magix isnt going to support an old system. Im asking if anyone knows why the program wont save a new movie/project.

To answer your question, I found a 'return to default' button and pushed that but it had no effect on the problem ( I was thinking that I inadvertantly hit something causing this problem)

I has started a new movie , spent about an hour, and when Ii was finished for the day I attempted to save it. I clicked "save As " and gave a name. It showed when I looked in "new Projects", etc. When I logged back on several hours later , there is no record of the work that I had done. I tried several other attempts ( just putting in 2 or 3 pictures in to timeline) again saved, and again they did did show as having been created).

The only project that I see is the last movie that I created in 9-2013.

I appreciate your help, thanks.

Hi

I suspect the projects have been saved, however because you have reset the program to defaults the start dialog will not remember the last file saved.

Try using Windows explorer to search the entire hard drive for one of the projects you have created.

In the search box type part of the name you used and surround it with asterisks eg *filename* and do not add the project file extension
