Need a video editor to replace Adobe 7 or 10; i.e., very basic

Computer crashed. Geek Squad installed Windows 10 so I had to re-install all applications. Adobe Premiere Elements 7 installs but the web site to get the required CODEC is no longer available. I installed Premiere Elements 2022 but it is way too complicated. I know nothing about Movie Studio.

@Joe-Grisillo

Hi and welcome to the forum

Ideally we need to know your computer specification to advise you which software would replace Adobe PE 7, the system, and the video resolutions and format may influence that choice

The base level replacement for PE7 would be Magix Photostory 2022, moving up to Movie Studio 2022 for more features and functionality.

You can downlod the trial versions and test them for 30 days to see which suits you - do note that the trial versions are not fully featured and have a 3 minute limit for exports, on purchase the features, depending on version, and full functionality are avaialble.

A list of tutorials for Movie Studio are available here - some refer to Movie Edit Pro which is the old name for the product, however the principles are the same, many also apply to Photostory, however the menus and locations of some of the features are different or may not be present
