old machine died, ( 10 + years old) gonna need to get new ver of samplitude... What hardware would you all recommend, computer wise? type, memory, processor, etc.. not familiar with latest/ greatest ver of samp... newest ver we have is 7+ years old

@Dave-Edwards It depends on what you want to do. Just editing some MIDI notes and render them out or recording a live orchestra?

I would suggest that you ask at https://community.samplitude.com/ because there are a lot of professional users.
