Please can the next version of Movie Edit Pro, Pro, Premium 2022 come with the possibility to change the pivot point is a must for images character animation, I can't believe that Filmora already has it, Magix is lagging behind.
Welcome to the Magix user to user forums, so not a contact for any Magix staff.
In order for any of the developers to see your request you will need to email infoservice@magix.net, with full details of what you are asking for, and ask that they pass your message to the appropriate staff.
Here is an example I did for a topic back in 2013 -
I cannot find the original post of how this was done, however it works only with still images and a fudge - ie the centre point of the rotation has to be the centre point of the image ie this is one of the hands of the clock, then the normal rotation tools are used.
The original image is a png file with transparent background - I have made it yellow so you can see the 'fudge'.
I think I am using the same 'fudge' but I see no reason it can't be applied to an animation or video file if it is the same 'fudge'. I just pasted the previous movements to the video file once I had produced the video as needed.
. . . . but I see no reason it can't be applied to an animation or video file if it is the same 'fudge' . . . . .
The 'fudge involves increasing the size of the 'image' in such a way as to move the centre of rotation ie like this - I have used an image to show the image canvas resize so as the top left corner of the image is the rotation point
For video you would have to do the equivalent using MEP.
Exactly! So knowing where the center point is and being able to place the image / video /graphics / to a set distance and position away from that point, for instance, into one of the corners, then it's possible to create your own movable anchor point to pivot from. You can do all of that from within MEP or VPX but it is an extra step that could be alleviated having an anchor point to start with.
I think we both understand how to get an object to traverse around a screen and be able to alter its trajectory, speed and orientation.
Don't scare anyone by mentioning math 😂 although the use of a grid might be useful.
One of my son's teachers once said to me that if someone was good at any artistic discipline they had to be naturally good at math. I have never felt so insulted 😉.

Very true. 👍

Do you mean rule of thirds, f stops, shutter speeds, depth of field etc etc etc are not maths? 😀
Taking event or sports images I have never had time to get my slide rule out and my brain is steam powered 😇.
That's why I've always preferred cameras with dedicated dials and switches and the ability to shoot with both eyes open. I don't have time for menus but prefer to know where each control is by touch. (That also helps for night events) The only golden ratio I look out for is the one I don't want to step on while concentrating on something else. 👀👀❌🐕💩
