No Gif export in VPX6?

Kraznet wrote on 5/11/2014, 3:34 AM

I noticed in Video Pro X6 there is no longer an option to export video as an animated gif.  Is there any chances

will be restored in a future update?

Martin

Hi Martin,

You should ask Magix. It's still in MEP2014 but gone from X6. I asked them about other missing content that is in MEP2014 but not in X6 and here is the reply:

"I will pass the feedback on, there is no missing content, Video Pro X often has less templates than the consumer versions, due to all the additional features it has for advanced editing. Normally, most people are using plug-ins or there own templates for use."

So maybe they decided it was not important enough to keep, or they forgot it.

I have the same problem, I am running a new Video Pro Version and it seems still no possible again. Years ago when I was still using Video deLuxe 2007 and 2013 they both could do it. It seems really questionable that now I have to use a second program just to do a GIF export. So you lose control about the GIF export and can not do the adjustments in Video Pro itself? This seems completely uncomprehensible especially in times when GIFs do celebrate a big renaissance?!?!!

@Fabian_G

Welcome to the Magix forums.

Did you notice you had posted to a thread which is nearly six years old and is about a, now very old version of VPX?

It is clear that Magix have not changed their opinion about the removal of this feature so there really is little point in re-opening this thread, I would suggest!

However, there is nothing to prevent you starting a new thread and raising this as a "feature request". Whether it will be considered by the developers is unknown!

This thread will now be closed.
