.....and take it back - it gives an M2TS wraper if the clot behind the keyboard doesn't select the correct preset to start from. Appreciate the help - sorted.
Hi AndiP. If you click on Video as MPEG-4 you should then see the "MPEG-4 Export" screen. At the top of this you should see Presets; do none of these give you the H.264 setting to output to mp4?
I don't have MEP 2015 (I use VPX5 so am looking at the settings there) but, for me, ALL the presets on that screen say "Format Description: MPEG-4 (mp4)", though clearly with various aspect ratios. The option to export through H.264 to M2TS is NOT one I see, at least on that screen.
It is possible that. because you are running the Trial Version, "normal" mp4 export is not available to you!
Update: You posted back as I was typing. Glad you're sorted, happy editing/exporting!
Hey Jeff, option is for HDTV 1920x1080 H264 25FPS - I'm relatively new to video and I'm trying to choose an editor that seems to make sense (I'm really an audio guy) and sometimes wish the manufacturers would give a "what it really is" choice - "choose your codec, choose your wrapper " or vice versa, sort of list instead of making me try to figure out what they think I'm going to use it for.
Anyway - good to go - just got to try-out Premier Elements and Power Director against Lightworks and perhaps I'll actually manage to get some work done next week.

Just to let you know - you can save the presets with names of your choice in MEP - to try it - select the preset you want then click the little disc icon to the right of the dropdown, give the preset a meaningful name and save it somewhere appropriate..

The default folder that opens would be the most appropriate as it will then be accessible in the dropdown presets along with the other export templates. You may need to click "Show All" after you open the MPEG4 export window.
