Which version of MEP do you have?

I can certainly choose between Playback, HD, or DVD quality in MEP Premium.

It's found under File \ Settings \ Proxy and Preview Rendering.

Hi Ian.

Yes the basic version is missing that function.

If you have just bought this product you may be able to ask Magix if you could cross grade your product as you accidentally bought the wrong one. It may be worth a try.

Really, when they they do their special offers (which is often) it is worth going for the Premium edition.
