@Djdj-17 Open the program settings under the File > Settings menu, then go to the Audio/MIDI tab. Here select the ASIO driver of your audio interface. If you don't have an audio interface you can use the Music Maker ASIO driver.. Then click on the Advanced button next to driver selection to open the ASIO driver settings. Here select the input and output device and set the ASIO buffer size to a reasonable value, for example 512 samples. Close the ASIO settings and close the program settings with OK. After that, you should have sound.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I've tried setting the ASIO driver as you suggest, I've tried all the available options, (mine is Realtek but there's apparently no control panel for it), not a sausage, I can't play any of the samples or vst instruments, I've looked at various tutorials, uninstalled & reinstalled everything & I seem to have made everything worse, (to begin with some of the samples would play back but no longer). Is it worthwhile starting again?

@Djdj-17 Can you upload some screenshots of what your audio and ASIO settings in your program look like and what drivers and inputs/outputs are available in the selection? You can use the arrow icon above the response text box to upload an image to this forum.

Thanks again. It's taken me a while to figure out how to do that! (I'm not young anymore 😂). In the settings, I've clicked on "reset", & I can now play loops again. The onscreen Keyboard still does nothing. The file upload won't do it - I'll try in a new message.

This is how it looks now.

Here the loops won't play.

Loops playing again but no keyboard.

I hope these help. Something I have found - I can download an ASIO driver for my soundcard, (Realtek), but it's for the previous Windows version, (24H2), my computer is 25H2. I was thinking of trying that.

Hope I'm not being a nuisance, I appreciate your help.

After much fiddling about & guesswork, I now have this & all seems to be well. Even the keyboard seems to be ok!! (First time since I installed the program). Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

Best regards,

David

@Djdj-17 I'm glad it worked in the end. But it's odd that you don't have the Music Maker ASIO driver available in the ASIO driver selection but only ASIO4ALL, Magix Low Latency 2016 and Realtek ASIO. Usually, the Music Maker ASIO driver should automatically be installed with version 2026.

That Music Maker driver is there but I couldn't get anything to work with it. I downloaded the ASIO4ALL to try & solve the issue. At the time it didn't. I think I had the wrong selection for the audio output in the advanced settings section all along. I imagine the Music Maker Driver would be ok, but as it seems to be fine now I don't really want to risk changing anything!! 😂 Without your help I might never have solved it so thank you.
