@Djdj-17 Open the program settings under the File > Settings menu, then go to the Audio/MIDI tab. Here select the ASIO driver of your audio interface. If you don't have an audio interface you can use the Music Maker ASIO driver.. Then click on the Advanced button next to driver selection to open the ASIO driver settings. Here select the input and output device and set the ASIO buffer size to a reasonable value, for example 512 samples. Close the ASIO settings and close the program settings with OK. After that, you should have sound.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I've tried setting the ASIO driver as you suggest, I've tried all the available options, (mine is Realtek but there's apparently no control panel for it), not a sausage, I can't play any of the samples or vst instruments, I've looked at various tutorials, uninstalled & reinstalled everything & I seem to have made everything worse, (to begin with some of the samples would play back but no longer). Is it worthwhile starting again?
@Djdj-17 Can you upload some screenshots of what your audio and ASIO settings in your program look like and what drivers and inputs/outputs are available in the selection? You can use the arrow icon above the response text box to upload an image to this forum.
