Hi.

Is this a recent installation of the program?

Was it working before the present problem on your present computer setup?

If no, to the second part.

Have you checked you actually get an audio signal from your camera into your computer?

If you use an external box or internal video capture card does it show in the Windows mixer?

Is it showing any audio level?

Ray.

Actually I had to install everything again a couple a months ago and I guess I haven´t been using MEP after that until now. Before installation MEP was working OK.

Audio works OK with other programmes.

Hi Rob.

How do you edit within MEP straight from camera? Do you mean you capture the video from the camera via MEP? If so are you using an interface? If not, how are you doing it? What physical connection are you using? Is MEP the only program you can monitor from?

That is the screenshot asked for by the way. That seems OK to me. I didn't think personally that is the issue but best to check. I am more interested in how you physically transfer the files.

Ray.

I meant straight from the memory card or from computer´s memory. Sorry about confusion.

Hi

. . . . when editing a clip straight from camera . . . .

The files on the camera memory card should be copied to the computer - in the folder or a subfolder of where the programs settings Folders tab say the project folder is, amd then imported from there onto the timeline.

The MediaInfo shows the video is standard AVCHD so there is no issue with that and MEP 2017.

. . . . Where do I change the language . . .

In the program you can't - it does not matter as we can compare your image to ours.

Tried reinstalling MEP and removing the sometimes problematic windows KB4549951 update. It didn´t help so it´s time to use workarounds.

Hi

. . . . Tried reinstalling MEP . . . .

That will not work unless you also deleted all the files that are left behind by the un-installer - it knows nothing about these as they are created after on first run of the program.

Use Revo Uninstaller to remove the program and clean up afterwards, before re-installing.

If that fails then there is something blocking your audio, eg another program, or there is some missing detail of your setup - see here for computer spec information which may be useful.

Good news 😄 Somehow the pop-out window for activation of Dolby Digital was not working initially. I found the solution here:
