No Video Display on Program Preview

Hello There,

My Movie Edit Pro Premium 2020 working fine, but after I upgraded the Movie Edit Pro Premium 2022 a few weeks ago, today I tried to create a new project. Then I uploaded an mp4 video to the project and tried to play; I can hear the sound, but no screen display on the program monitor (or no preview display). I checked my graphic driver which is up to date. Anyone knows what is wrong here? Please advise. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks, Hoa-G5366

Hi and welcome to the forum

What is your computer specification - see this topic for details of what is required and please quote the processor and graphics card/chipset make/model in full.

A screenshot of the Program settings, Device options tab would also help.

Hi

Thanks for the computer spec.

The issue you are having is due to both GPU's, the Intel HD4600 and the Nvidia GT 640, not being supported by Movie Edit Pro (MEP) 2022 - neither GPU can run DirectX 11.1 or better which is required.

Additionally the GT 640 does not support NVDEC (decoding) or NVENC (encoding) so there will be no hardware acceleration for import/processing/export.

In the Program settings, Display options try changing the Import, Processing and Export options to:

  1. all - Intel HD4600

  2. all - Microsoft Warp

  3. all - CPU.

Note all options may give reduced performance depending on the import and export formats used.

@johnebaker

Hi John, I changed the import, Processing, and Export to Microsoft Warp, the only option...and it works.

By the way, I saw someone posted the "Effects: Movement Template Not Working". I hope MEP 2022 will fix the issue soon.

Again, thank you so much for your help!
