No Video Effects Control

joeman2116 wrote on 5/1/2021, 10:41 AM

I am running the latest windows 10 with an i5proc- 8gg mem.

Latest version of Movie Edit Pro v 20.0.1.80 udp3

All has been working fine until today

The problem is:

I select any Video Effect, such as Brightness or Color or any other effect..

The screen changes to the effect and displays panel with the effect selected, however, If i move the color sliders there is no change on the video I have selected. If I move Brightness effect to min or max no change...

I have seen this problem occur before on my other computer and had to reinstall....

I have rebooted - no change

Checked to see if i have latest windows updates - Yes

Tried new projects - no change

Looks like I will have to reinstall.....again.....

Joe.

Hi Joe,

Is the lightning bolt at the bottom left of the Preview Monitor turned on by any chance? If so, turn it off.

Do not reinstall.

Hi

As @browj2 has commented - do not re-install - this is a last resort option - not the first.

Additionally if you do not do the necessary cleaning up after the uninstall you can, at best, still have the issue, at worst, compound the issue you already have with other issues.

. . . . latest windows 10 with an i5proc- 8gg mem . . . .

We need more information on your computer if the issue is not the one @browj2 has suggested - see this topic for details of what is required and please quote processor and graphics cards make/model in full.

The issue was two fold.

The lightning bolt was on and even though I had selected the correct video I did not have the start slider on the selected video.

Working fine now Thanks to all for your support
