You're correct, your subject line was not entirely clear, and even with the extra explanation, it's still not.

Since you are referring to BeatBox 2, are we to assume when you say "bass" you mean a bass drum hit?

Are you asking only about the bass drum hit, or do you actually want the bar to be longer as well, as your subject line implies?  Remember, a "bar" also refers to a series of 4 beats in 4/4 time, for example.

Go to the track in question, highlight it, grab the love handle and stretch it for as long as you like.  TAhe love handle are the various locations on the track that allow you to make several different changes to the original track.  visit the tutorials or the help files for a further explanation as I don't feel like typing all the provided information in the program.

BeatBox 2 is not configured to allow you to extend the "bars" (hits).  Most of the hits are "'samples" of a set timbre, pitch, and duration.  The default kick drum is synthesized and can be manipulated with the automation parameters at the bottom of the BeatBox 2 window.

The "love handles", as gnarly put it, will only extend the rhythm object (loop) which will only repeat itself.

There may be a few ways to extend a bass drum hit, reverb/delay for example, each of which will produce a different result.

As an experiment, I took the sample of a medium long bass drum hit and basically cut it into it's component parts - attack/decay, sustain, release - and created a longer bass drum hit, which in effect turned it into a short bass note with a strong attack..

The same result can more readily be created using a synthesizer, such as Revolta.  You can create a short and long bass drum hit which will be identical in character (timbre, pitch).  These can be exported individually as a wav file.  The wav file can be dragged directly into one of the empty BeatBox 2 instrument slots from Windows Explorer and used as an instrumment in your drum kit.

In addition....note that customized drum kits can be named and saved for use at a later date.
