Outputting Alpha Channel Videos for Website

I see this effect a lot and in all the iterations and releases of MAGIX over the year, I have not seen reference to outputing the video with a transparent alpha channel so a character chatting on a webpage can appear independent of the rectangle most videos appear confined to. You usually see it as a person walking or talking about a webpage or tutorial in the bottom left or right of the screen but obviously it can be placed anywhere. Is this possible with MEP 2014 Plus? Seems like a simple chroma key trick, but what file type video output allows for a transparent background?

Thanks for any hints or techniques... do I need another video editor?

No - MEP does not currently support exporting Alpha channel video.

The effect you are describing for websites, can created using Adobe Flash and video files with an Alpha channel.

You should find some tutorials on Youtube about how to do this.

I'm curious as to what you mean. Could you post a screen shot of an example or give a link to an example?

I would have thought that the person was just being filmed against a green screen and the resulting video overlaid onto the main video (PIP) with the green chromakeyed out.
