Overlapping Frames

Movie Studio 2025, V. 24.0.1.249 (UDP3) - Desktop with Windows 10

It's been awhile since I posted here (I've been focusing on photos). I finally began working on a (series of) videos I took recently. It began with 17 frames. I was okay cutting as needed at first, and then I was able to apply slow motion on a frame, okay. But now when I try cutting or slow motion, the following frames overlap. See screenshot.

This is happening with all of the 3 mouse modes, single object, single track, and all tracks.

I saved the file, closed and reopened the program, then the file. Same thing happened.

I also want to ask about the regular sharpening tool. It hardly seems to have any affect. The AI Sharp is better, but I thought the original "plain" Sharpen tool was the best. Any suggestions on their use?

Does this software have any differences with Win 11?

Thanks!

I did try the AI version on some old cine captures but didn't like it. I prefer the standard sharpener, and generally set it at ~ 40%. There is a bug in the standard sharpener. You have to set it to "all". See this post of mine a while back.

As for your overlapping issue, I'm not quite following; could you explain in more detail the steps you're taking?

I looked at some of the Sharp comments. I don't understand why this hasn't been fixed in such a long time. It worked fine when it was MEP! I had tried sliding to ALL, but it didn't help.

I don't know what else to tell you about the frames, it's strange. OK. I was able to apply slow motion the first time I tried. I followed the same steps on another frame (not contiguous). But when I moved the frame forward a tad, (again to make sure I apply the effect only to the selected frame), then try to apply Slow motion, all that happens is the overlapping. Again, UNDO doesn't work; the frame scrambling gets worse.
