I paid an upgrade subscription for my Video Pro X recently. My profile say's that it is active untill late 2022.. Yet, when I fire up my Video Pro X version 19.0.1.119 it's offering me an upgrade to version 19.0.1.121 if I pay an update service fee again!

They say the update includes the following:

  • Fixed crash that occurred when using collages
  • Fixed alpha error for complex combinations of effects in GPU mode
  • Film templates can be imported in various lengths
  • Improvements to title editing
  • The effects search has been restored
  • Blu-ray Discs encoding with a menu has been restored
  • Improved thumbnail previews in Storyboard mode
  • Missing translations have been added
  • Fixed error when sending crash logs
  • 360° editing has been restored
  • Resolved lagging in CPU video playback
  • Mercalli V2 has been removed
  • Fixed copying/pasting of Position/size keyframes
  • Keyframes' position/size can now be displayed in the arranger object

Interestingly it also demands payment twice!

Hi Simmi.

Ignore the upgrade offers and just go to Help inside VPX and click on Update On Line.

See if anything is there. Check the task bar for the updater. It is sometimes behind the main program screen.

I have it sorted now..

For some reason, when I upgraded the first time from v12, it picked up an old licenses number... I had to re-install and instead of allowing it to register, I had to change the license number to the new one..

Silly misstake.. Anyway it's working now.. I recently took the plunge and upgraded to an RTX 3060 card, so it will be interesting to see if I have more stability and slightly improved performance!

Maybe it would be prudent to update your signature to reflect your current setup.

It's all fine now and yes I have updated my signature with the new Graphics card. I was trying to get an Asus GTX 1660 TI 6GB.. They have simply become unobtainable due to the cpu shortage. I placed an order here in Australia couple of weeks ago for one on the premise it would be arriving in 3-4 weeks. It was to cost me about $600 AUD ($436 US). A few day's ago I got an email telling me it would now be 6 - 8 weeks with no guarantees it would arrive at all. So they refunded my payment and I then went on the hunt to try to find aynthing under AUD $1,000 ($726 US). Anything that seem to be under that price level was "No Stock".. I could get some cheaper ones, but in the end I managed to get the Gigabyte RTX 3060 EAGLE OC 12GB for around $950 AUD ($690 US).. It arrived yesterday, so I installed it and through that process somehow crossed my license numbers.. I figured that the cpu shortage is only going to get worse as we get closer to xmas and it will last well into next year, so better get one now.. I ran an export on short video I used to do some performance testing I did last year https://www.magix.info/us/forum/video-pro-x-export-speed-tests--1246427/ In those tests the export time for that clip ranged from 54 seconds to 153 seconds.. On the new RTX 3060 it took less than 30 Seconds, so a fair bit of improvement!

Hi.

Not sure if graphics cards are as rare as they were a few months ago. I just went online and found three local shops I can pick a variant of that card up for £440. Not sure what the current exchange rate is or what taxes are involved if buying from outside the UK or even if they would ship abroad.

I'm glad you have found one in your part of the world. Seems odd to me with you being nearing the manufacturing hub of such things that you are having more difficulty. Maybe as a country you bulk purchase things less.

At present we have a local petrol shortage (only at the pumps) due to a stupid government and a panicked population.
