Hi.

John is correct up to a point. If the file can be imported it will play but there is no real way to change its bit depth within the program except for exporting as a wav file and re-importing it and replacing it with the original. The only problem with that is MEP will only export wav files at 16 bit.

There are 32 bit files I can produce that MEP can neither see or import though. Same as some of AAProds mp3 files. I guess there are just more formats that MEP considers uncommon. Which could well be true for video editing.

Note in the image above that the files in the folder do not appear in the MEP import version of the folder. If I try to drag and drop such a file into MEP I generate the warning you see.

Ray.

Hello. Update from battle place :-) . I'm struggling a little still with performance but changing windows setting to let its decide priority for Graphics Card and disabling Video view on timeline (just first and last key) help a bit so its possible to work. But I have found two strange behaviour in 2022 (maybe a bug)

a) In Media Import Window If I Add Some folder as link (Create Link for folder) normally in 2021 version it stays in Project and every time when reopen project Linked folder stays there. Now I have to add this Link every time i open the project. Why its not stored / remembered after restart of application ? Is this a Bug ? In 2021 it was ok.

b) Right Click on Transition Effect - menu is splited, not solid, and there are empty spaces to choose correct effect. See Picture.

Hi

. . . . I have to add this Link every time i open the project. Why its not stored / remembered after restart of application . . . .

Check your antivirus is not blocking the saving of the videodeluxe.ini file that contains this setting - the file is located in:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Videodeluxexx_version where xx = 2 digit number and version = nothing, Plus or Premium

. . . . Right Click on Transition Effect - menu is splited, not solid,  . . . .

I can replicate this issue which is due to Windows scaling - check that the Windows settings, System, Display Scale and layout option is set to 100%.

There is definitely a lag in the program. It is very annoying. Adding or adjusting clips. I do a lot of editing and this is unacceptable. I am going to have to uninstall and reinstall 2021.

@Jimmy-Ellis

Hi Jimmy

If you are not using Proxy files, try turning them on in the project settings - this will reduced the processing load on Movie Edit Pro (MEP) 2022 at the expense of time needed to create the proxies and extra disc space used.

Other settings you can try changing are the three Hardware Acceleration options in the Program settings, Display options tab. Try the alternate graphics card/chipset and if there is no improvement try the Microsoft Warp options for the Processing and Export options

The computer specification is barely at the level of the minimum system requirements for MEP 2022. The Intel prrocesor has no Hyperthreading capability so you only have 4 cores to handle the load from MEP, the iGPU is the HD 530 - minimum spec is the HD 630, and the GT 730 does not appear on the Nvidia lists of GPUs that support NVDEC or NVENC which would enable smoother processing and encoding, the minimum spec is the GTX 1050.
