Hi

We need more information:

  • Computer specification, Program full name and version number - see this topic for specific details required.

  • Video format, encoder and resolution - a MediaInfo analysis would be best -see the linked to topic for where to download from.

My Computer is an HP Pavillion 23 TouchSmart

The Device Specifications are:

Device Name: 23-h04

Processor: Processor AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon(TM) HD Graphics 2.00Ghz

Installed RAM: 8.00GB(7.44GB usable)

Device ID: 58EEC042-37D-40AA-9F4E-CEE4AE2AEA7F

Product ID: 00326-10000-00000-A655

System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch: Touch support with 5 touch points

The Program Full Name Is: Magix Movie Edit Pro 2014

Whn asking for video format I'm assuming that your asking what video format I am putting in the timeline of the Move Edit Pro program and that is an mp4. The problem is that the audio is very distorted and the video has spots int it where the video blacks out.

The Video of MP4 file:

Length: 01:51:28

Frame width: 640

Frame height: 360

Data rate: 349kbps

Total bitrate: 413kbps

Frame rate: 17.42 frames/second

Resolution: 640x360

Note:

When I drop the video into the timeline it says The active movie has a resolution of 720×576 (16:9), The file Memorial MP4 has a resolution of 640×360 (16:9), 17.3 fps.

If you wish to adjust the movie and video monitor settings to the imported file, click on "Adjust"

Then I have the options to select from

1. Don't show this message again

2. Adjust

3. Do not adjust

The Audio of MP4 file:

Bit Rate: 63kbps

Channels: 2 (stereo)

Audio sample rate: 24.000khz

Hi

Can you analyse the Facebook video clip with MediaInfo as requested, the data you have posted is from the File properties in Windows Explorer and does not tell us exactly what the video is.

An educated guess would be, from the given data, the video is variable frame rate which most video editors do not handle well, in which case it needs converting to Constant frame rate, additionally the audio sample rate is not ideal.

The video file needs converting through a video converter, such as Handbrake, to Constant Frame rate eg 25 or 30 fps depending on local TV standard PAL or NTSC, and the Audio sample rate changing to 48 kHz.

When importing select the Do not adjust option if the final video is going to be exported at 720×576 (16:9) or for creating a DVD

Wow. That is very in depth for me. I think that part of the problem is that my computer is old and des not have a very powerful video card. I tried it on my son's gaming computer and it worked fine until I tried to edit the video by shortening it. It wants to hesitate if I shorten it too much...

But I kinda see what your saying. I'm just not that technically inclined when it comes to this stuff. Still learning. I'll look int the Handbrake video conversion and see what I can do with it.

Thanks
