Playback while recording don't work?

Hi guys! I hope that somebody really could help me. I bought Magic Music Maker MX Version 18 around week ago. I have done drums with Toontrack and that worked really well. i have also done some midi tracks with using Vita syth. keyboard and that have worked really well too.

I'm mainly a guitar player and i use amplifier which does have a USB output. I also have downloaded ASIO4ALL for getting sound from that amplifier. When i'm changing the driver setting to ASIO4ALL and try to record some stuff with guitar, i can see that those sound bars goes up and down, so guitar sound comes from that amplifier, to this computer and this software. When i have recorded like 10 secs and i press "ok", i can also listen that track and everything works. Only problem is, that the "Playback while recording" button doesn´t work. I cant hear the sound when i'm recording something. I have heard couple times (few days ago when i accidently messed up with those settings) the sound of recording.. But now i just can´t get it work =( What do i need to do?

With Sonar LE the playback while record is working properly, there is no this kind of problem. Hopefully you did get what i tried to say (I'm from Finland so english isn't my best skill).

P.S I am using Asus Laptop with Conexant CX20671 SmartAudio Hd Sound driver, Windows 7 64-bit, Magic Music Maker MX Version 18 and ASIO4ALL V 2.10

Thanks!

There is nothng wrong with your english.....apparaently you were able to hear your recording at one point in time so you need to go back to where you think you were.  I suspect you have an option not selected/selected depending on its use.  I'll do a litte more research if someone else can' be more specific.

I believe there is a "Record" pane or option window separate from just doing a track record that might allow you to set a playback during recording setting...also remember to right click at various times because you will get differevt menu options from just left clicks....lastly....just because you set an option in MM, doesn't mean it will stay set, per your instruction....you may have to re-set everytime you open MM...like now  ,for instance....you could record during playback and now you can't.  MM will keep you on your toes...never take for granted.  I'll stay in touch until problem resolved.

Found it !  but my other answer is still good advice to follow...anyway, open MM and after its loaded, press the "R" key and you should open a pane that says Audio Recording and there in athe middle left side you will see what you are looking for....now get busy and make some music !

I don't mean to put you off, but....you say you had it working at one time....I suggest you record just one track and then open a second track to record live on.  Mute trac one to be sure you can record live...if at any time something isn't working for you, stop there and fix that....don't by accident, create 3 or 4 problems when yu think you just have one.  I did what you are trying to do on both a "live' guuitar and also with  KORG synth and everything worked for me...but I also have a SoundBlaster high dollar soundcaard along with a SoundBlaster control panel.  All my stuff is routed thru the controller and soundcaard and while it gives me a lot of flexibility....one option selectaed incorrectly...or forgotten about....it won't work....BUT IT DID LAST WEEK !!!, cause I remember !  I have learned to keep a notebook as my brain is 68 years old.  Back up your soudpools and keep a good notebook....do those two things and you will not be sorry.  If you did it once, yu'll do it again.  once I had a problem that drove me crazy....I couldn't find a particular menu opation that I had seen just days eaarlier and yet I couod't find it...and then oneday just by dumb luck, I did a right click on my mouse instead of a typical left and guesswhat.THERE IT WAS
