Hi,

To play video movie file on a computer is easy because the player like Microsoft or VLC or any video software reader or player can do the job. To play using a DVD reader like house DVD reader you need to create a DVD from the software and burn the file after compilation on a DVD. To play a video file on a USB key you need to create a file like mpeg2, mp4 or mts and copy the file to the USB key but before you need to know what file is read by your TV. Check the file system you TV can read before. If your TV accept a mts file you need to export a mts from the Magix software and copy the exported file to the USB key.

Thanks. I am novice so forgive my lack of understanding. The problem seems to be with DVD Player that says the disc will not play. I have Blue ray DVD and it the book says it will not play HD DVD.I recorded on a DVD+R at NTSC HDTV 1080i at 29.97 fps. Is it possible i need to change the Edit Pro settings to something else? What should I try? Thanks

Hi

. . . . error code that disc is wrong format . . . .

What make/model is the 'DVD' player?

If it is not a Blu-Ray player than you cannot play Blu-Ray format video on it, even if you are burning to DVD disc.

Yes I have Samsung Blu Ray player. So do you think if I change the settings on my Edit Pro to NTSC 16:9 (720x480 29.97 fps) that it will play on that DVD?

Burning as a DVD it should play.

I suspect it is the disc type you are using. I use DVD-R discs to burn short (< 30 mins) Blu-Ray and they play successfully in a variety of BD players.
