Problem editing 360 Panoramic image (equirectangular JPEG)

I purchased Movie Edit Pro Premium software yesterday. It is the latest 2021 version with updates/ patches.

From research, it seemed to be an elegant tool to add undistorted text labels to 360 panoramic images, created by drone. My specific use-case is adding building labels/ names onto an aerial site plan which is a 360 degree (12MB equirectangular JPEF) image captured with a DJI drone. Not a video, but it loads OK into the main console, and a 7 second timeline is added. The problem is that, by default, the image displays in 'flattened 2D mode'. When I try to switch to 360 viewing mode in the main console (by right clicking on the image viewer), the '360 View' option is greyed out.

Can someone please advise WHY this happening? The image is an equirectangular panorama and displays fine in 360 viewing packages.

I found the following in the manual (left side of image) and how it looks to apply (right side of image)

Working with 3D material starts on page 184.

No problem Peter.

Glad to try to help. New software can often be difficult to get into.

The forum has some good people on it and we are used to looking things up if we don't know ourselves. I doubt anyone uses more than a fraction of what the software is capable of so it's fun for some of us to look at aspects of the program we maybe haven't tried ourselves yet.
